Wodessa Yachisi established the family owned farm Guji Mountain in 2012. Located just south of Shakisso, Oromia in the Guji zone after which they take the name, the farm sits amidst the clouds at around 2300 meters above sea. It is described as one of the most peaceful and beautiful locations to farm coffee in Ethiopia and this is helped by its remote location and the superb, deep and nutrient rich soil in the area.

The family established the farm and staggered the planting of the trees in years three and four to give them better production in the following years. They still collect new seedlings for the nursery from indigenous mother trees and pass the knowledge of how to do this onto neighbouring farmers.

The farms production and growing procedures are completely organic and currently they have opted for only natural processing of the coffee. Plans are afoot to build a small washing station on the farmland in the coming years to allow more flexibility and experimentation with processing methods.

As well as looking after their own farm the Yachisi family share knowledge and practices with other small holders nearby which has led to them processing this out grown coffee as well.
